Tulsi or basil plant is most powerful and auspicious plant.
The plapalntsnt should be located in the north, east and north-east of the
house. Tulsi can be grown at the front or back of the house.
Banyan and peepal
tree are sacred trees so they should be planted near temple or sacred place.
The trees should
not be planted on front of the entrance of house.
Big trees can be
planted in the south and west portion of the house. They should not be too
close to the building as they block sunlight and roots of the tree can damage
foundation. The roots of the big trees absorb sunlight and do not allow them to
reach the house.
Small trees can be
planted in the east and north side. But no tree should be planted in north-east
corner.
Thorny plant
should not be planted in the house as these plants except rose as it can absorb
negative energy.
The creepers
should be planted near entrance door. It should not be raised on compounded
wall of the buildings. It is good to plant creeper in garden.
Avoid milky trees
in the house as it may affect the health of family members.
Flowering plants
should be placed in the south-west portion of the house. Jasmine, rose, marigold, champa, mogra and
prijat are good around the house as it gives positive energies.
Money plant should
also be planted in north-east side of the house as it brings good luck to the
house.
No big tree should
be planted in the centre of the house.
A rock garden
should be in south-west portion of the house, not in the north-east portion of
the house.
Fruit bearing
trees should be planted to the east of a garden.
Plant tall trees
in the south-west side of your house. This is believed to bring stability and
progress.
If there is a
religious place right in front of your house, plant a row of trees on front,
leaving the main door a tree with just two branches opposite the house is not
good.
The number of
trees planted in a house should be even like 2,4,6 etc.
A dead tree or one
with no leaves right in front of the house is not good.
Coconut and lemon
trees can be planted to the south or the west of a garden.
Auspicious trees
should never be cut in the months of bhadrapad or magha.
Small trees are
better to be grown in east or north but avoid north-east direction for planting
any kind of tree.

What to Follow
A girl (after her
menstruation cycle has started) must sleep in the North-West bedroom.
If North-West
bedroom is absent, then she can sleep in West bedroom with her head in West or
South direction.
